I use this to load 12ga. and 16 ga field loads as well as .38 special/.357 cowboy loads and .44 specials. It performs consistently through the range of published loads for Hodgdon’s Clays, and performs well. Haven’t done any side by side comparisons of it and Clays but wouldn’t expect much difference. I don’t expect my 8 lbs to last all that long, even with 3 grain cowboy loads taking most of it.

I use Claydot as a substitute for Clays using Clays data weight for weight in handloads for handguns. I like it because it is efficent, clean burning and economical. I find no cons for using this product as a substitute for another product since it seems to work equally well as the more expensive product.
