This is another of the spherical powders Hodgdon® Powder Company and Hornady® Manufacturing introduced to answer the frequently asked reloading question: “Can I buy the powder used in the Hornady Superformance factory ammunition?” Superformance delivers striking velocities in cartridges like the 22-250 Remington, 243 Winchester and 300 Winchester Short Magnum. Velocities well in excess of 100 fps over the best published handloads and even larger gains over factory ammunition! Because this propellant is tailored for specific applications, the number of cartridges and bullets is limited, but where it works, it really works! Grain shape is flat ball.

One of my favorite loads for a 6.5 Creedmoor. 45.0 gr under a 127 LRX bullet. I can’t seem to catch one in any animal including a 450 lbs Boar. Play with the C.O.A.L. My gun likes 2.750 and it just stacks the bullets.

Tried it in a 243 Win with Barnes 85gr TSX. Most groups were between .75 and one inch. I was going up 3/10 of a grain at a time. Then I hit the max and the magic happened. One of the best groups I have ever fired and that was out of a Savage Axis from Dicks. .242 CTC, Now we have a shooter. Can’t wait for deer season.
